Mens black onyx necklace with sterling silver and onyx pendant. Onyx has been in use for thousands of years in jewelry and sculpture and Roman warriors carried amulets of onyx, believing it to bring courage in battle. We set the stone in a fine silver bezel and mounted it on 20 gauge sterling silver. The necklace is shown with 8mm beads but you may select 6mm or 8mm. Beads are arranged in the style of a spiritual bead or rosary necklace with sterling silver accents. The necklace fastens with a large sterling silver lobster clasp. The pendant is an inch and a quarter long and just under and inch wide. The dog tag shaped stone measures 30mm x 20mm. The pendant is hallmarked sterling and stamped with the silversmith’s name. This necklace was not mass produced and thus will have natural irregularities that can be seen in the photos. A stone that is set by hand will have a natural, crafted character.
